March 10-11-Dr. Bush Presents on Johnson's Island at the Andersonville Living History Weekend Updates on the NPS site will provide more information. Dr. Bush will be discussing the influence treatment at Andersonville Prison had on the prisoners at Johnson's Island.

April 11, 2018 - Great Lakes Museum Talk @ National Museum of the Great Lakes, 1701 Front Street, Toledo, Ohio  43605, Dr. Bush will be presenting on the Johnson's Island Prison site.

August 18, 2018 - Great Golf Escape, Annual Fundraising event for the Friends and Descendants of Johnson's Island Civil War Prison.

October 26-28, 2018 - Lakeside Heritage Society Symposium - Dr. Bush will present a breakout session on the process of writing the book I Fear I Shall Never Leave This Island. Details to follow.


Dr. David Bush,  retired professor of Heidelberg University's Center for Historic and Military Archaeology, Director of the Archaeological Program at the Johnson's Island Civil War Prison site, is a National Lecturer for the Archaeological Institute of America (AIA).
