The Ohio History Connection honors the preservation achievements of the Friends and Descendants of Johnson's Island Civil War Prison with the Public Education and Awareness Award AND the Preservation Merit Award.

Outstanding historic preservation achievements in communities across Ohio were honored with the Ohio History Connection's State Historic Preservation Office Awards on Saturday, November 10, 2018.  State Historic Preservation Officer Burt Logan presented awards to thirteen organizations or individuals during a luncheon at the Ohio History Center in Columbus, Ohio.
